The removable rainfly is crafted from durable black 210D Oxford fabric and boasts a PU3000mm waterproof coating, as well as an anti-UV50+ rating, ensuring optimal protection from the elements.

This RTT is GREAT! It is easy to set-up with just 1 person. it can LITERALLY be set up in just 1 minute and its good to go! The RTT is comfortable and spacious enough for my family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids). Lots of space even for my husband that is about 6FT tall. Best of all, its sleek and looks great on top of our Sequoia! Would highly recommend this tent and Traverse Adventure Gear, HIGH quality and worth it! Things that we would have upgraded like the mattress, comes standard in their tents already! The LED light strip in the tent is awesome with multiple settings and USB capable. LOTS of entry points and windows for light and air flow but also able to block out the light when needed. Great all-around and exactly what we wanted, We love it!

This RTT is great. The ease of use makes it most appealing. My 7 year old son knows how to pop the tent up. It’s comfortable and it looks awesome. The kids love setting it up in the backyard when we aren’t on an adventure.
I think I am the first person on the east coast that has this RTT. Traverse was easy to work with and I enjoyed working with them. I will definitely buy more of their products in the future.

We love our RTT. We’ve spent 8 nights in it since getting it in March, and look forward to going out any free chance we get. We’ve woken up to unexpected snow, some rain, heavy wind (this tent is quiet), and most of all that desert sunshine. We have been extremely comfortable in all conditions. The mattress is so comfortable, and inside the tent it gets darkkkk. If you’re a sunrise person leave a window open. There’s lots of windows that provide great ventilation. My 5 year old daughter loves hanging out in the tent on our trips. The ease of setting up and tearing down was exactly what I was looking for. There’s lots of head space and feet space which was a major plus for me. Tent fits perfectly on top of my 4Runner and looks great. Not too bulky. All the boxes have been checked.

I started with a softshell RTT on my 4runner. After a year, I realized I needed something that’s easier to set up and tear down due to the height of my vehicle so I started shopping for a hard-shell RTT. While on the market, I found that most clamshell style RTTs have very limited room due to the wedge design; it leaves you very little room on one end to stretch and move around.
After some time, I came across Traverse Adventure Gear and the Lookout RTT is exactly what I was looking for. The unique design, the build quality, the customer service and most importantly, the ease of set up and tear down is what sold me. I have taken this tent to multiple trips through harsh terrain and weather with zero issues. I was so impressed with the tent that I even bought the Solar Eclipse Awning and the Hideaway Privacy Tent to complete my camp accommodation set up (both the awning and privacy tent easily attaches to the RTT slot channels for easy mounting).
I will definitely be on the lookout for future products from Traverse Adventure Gear. Thanks again Brian!

We purchased our RTT a couple of months ago and it’s been such a freeing experience to have it. We looked around a bit at different setups but this one seemed to have exactly what we were looking for. Being 2 women in their 60’s, my wife and I needed to have something the 2 of us could easily set up and collapse easily, be comfortable, and be easily accessible. Traverse seemed to check those boxes. Also the quality is top notch and it looks good too! Not to mention Brian is very accessible and quick to answer any questions.
We’ve been able to appreciate our life on the Central Coast of CA and even if it’s just to go on an overnight to the coast.

I absolutely love The Lookout RTT! My first trip after installation was up to the Trinity Wilderness in Northern California for a week of fly fishing. I was able to get off road to a nice dispersed camping area right by the Pit River. One afternoon some thunder clouds began forming, and by dusk, the lightning began. By the time I got things stowed away under the nice 270 awning (that I also got from Traverse), it was pouring rain. I scrambled up the ladder and got all zipped in. When I got situated inside, I zipped down the panel under the rain-fly about half way, and I was in the perfect place with a perfect view of the light show and the intense rain and hail that followed. Never once did I feel like I was going to get wet, and I felt safe from the elements. Oh, and that 270 awning worked great. I had all the poles attached but not tied down during the storm, and only one pole fell. I was really impressed with how it held up in wind, rain, and hail. I will also add that this was my first ever dispersed camping experience, and I absolutely loved it. It was such a different experience outside of my RV camping trips. I felt more connected to nature than ever before.
This tent set up has been great for me when I go out on solo trips. I am a 62 year old woman, and I wanted something that I could easily set up myself that was sturdy, looked great, had a low profile, and above all – was comfortable to sleep in, and easy to get in and out of. The quality of this tent is amazing! My wife and I sleep very comfortably in it as well.
